Some recent advice

I've forgotten who told me but just when we think we've settled into a routine with Emily...she changes it up on us. I know all you parents out there are shaking your heads in acknowledgement or saying "welcome to teething" or something along those lines. For the rest of you...well, here's hoping you understand one day.

Now, some pictures have come in retrospectively of our activities and I'm trying to get them up best I can so bear with me. For right now, however, check out the awesome time we had on Independence Day.

Our theater friends, the Sawyers, invited us over to celebrate. First off, see how cute she is? This is Emily in her "4th of July" outfit ala Gran Gran. It says "Miss Independent" on the front. How auspicious is that? Shortly after we had an 'accident' so we opted for cooler clothes to watch the fireworks outside. Oh! That sweet puppy's name is Odie.

Despite the flashy show (and some wild and crazy party companions), she seemed interested but unimpressed. Of course, it was pretty late. She could've just been tired. I will say, she didn't make a sound so they didn't frighten her.
