Mom and Dad had lots of fun giving Emily her first real solid food feeding. We broke out the splash mat, baby bowl, baby spoon and mixed that rice cereal to yummy goodness! And she ate it all! (So far so good. Later tonight may prove different.)
Dr. Visit:
Besides all that, Emily had her 6mth well-baby checkup and her last round of shots today. She's now 14lbs. 9.5oz and 25.25in. long. Dr. Williams pronounced her in perfect health. She's a bit petite, but that's not a surprise on that front. We also got a board book today about taking a bath and Emily seems to love it. It's got pictures of other baby faces! What's not to love? Next checkup is in July but no more shots till she's a year old.
It's cute now, but if my experience is any indication her willingness...or * insistence* on "helping" could end up being more frustrating than cute...but certainly worthy of a few face-smeared-with-food baby photos.
