Family Trip - Part 3

Wednesday

Today was one of Joanne's half work days. We had considered going shopping, but it worked out better to take the kids to a park down the road. Evelyn joined us with Brydon and Chantel. The park was pretty spiffy. Much larger than anything I've seen. We were just in the playground section but they had jungle gyms (with extra running around areas) for babies, toddlers, elementary aged, middle school aged, and a climbing wall that I think was about 6 ft high. In the baby/toddler area, they built a strip of Western store fronts with doors that were 3ft high. This meant that while Emily was walking back and forth through them, mommy was getting a real workout following her.

Thursday - Dexter Day

Today, we pretty much relaxed at the house. P & J highly recommended this tv series from Showtime: "Dexter" It's a little gruesome, but gripping and addictive. We all (mom, dad, grandma, and grandpa) were glued to the DVDs. Len and I MUST get the other current seasons we didn't see.

Friday

This was our shopping day. Len and Grandpa decided they'd rather go to the movies to see 2012. The rest of us went to one of the outdoor malls then later made stops at Target and Marshalls. The outdoor mall had a small playground and several fountains and sculptures. The kids had a great time.

Then we all had dinner at cousin Evelyn and Tim's home. The kids had a wonderful time playing around while the rest of us enjoyed pizza and Cheesecake Factory.

Saturday

Alas, the last day arrived and we had to pack everything up. We saved some champagne for the occasion and had a little toast to the great time we all had. The trip home was uneventful except that Emily enjoyed taking mom and dad on tours of the San Francisco and Philadelphia terminals.

So that was our family trip out to introduce Emily to the West Coast Demains.

ALL pictures that I have received are here: California Dreamin'
I tried to put them in a sort of day by day order but there's three or four photographers, so you may see some similar shots.

Thank you family for the awesome visit!!!
