Progress Report

Hello all,

I've tried to write an update for you guys about three times now since January. So here's a quick and dirty and unless someone cries bloody murder, you might get some photos too.

Here we go. We've got three beautiful little girls!

Emily highlights: Em took gymnastics this past fall and winter. She enjoyed it very much but thinks she wants to try something else. She'll be starting school in August (pre-K). She's become very helpful around the house and even joins mom and dad with the gardening duties. She helps mom with diaper changing, even! Her weight gain is finally back where it should be for her little body and her appetite is thriving.

Elizabeth highlights: Lizzie is growing fast, but still in a crib. We're going to try moving her to a toddler bed this summer. She's getting interested in the potty, but we're not pushing that yet either. The most surprising thing about Lizzie is her vocabulary. Conversations are short, but she makes up for it in enthusiasm. You can expect full sentences and to see her sweet little self trotting up to you to ask to join her on digging for treasure.

Cora highlights: We're about a week into solids (rice cereal) but the big news is: Cruising. Yes, this little 6-month-old, babbles-mile-a-minute dynamite is pulling up and cruising around the furniture. We can't take our eyes off of her because she's either scurrying at top speed to the tv or elbow deep in the dog bowl.

What? Oh. Yes. We have a dog too! We picked up a furry companion at the Etowah Valley Humane Society about late January. She's a beauty. Zoe is an Aussie Shepherd mix with short hair and high energy. She's perfect for our new house.

Oh? Hadn't heard? We bought a house! It's lovely! We're softly planning a party to warm it up in August! If you haven't been to see it, I hope to see you there!

Mom highlights: Still breastfeeding and lost 35lbs. from my pre-pregnancy weight. Now, if I can just find time to do some toning exercises, I might even keep it off. Mostly I'm unpacking the new house and trying to maintain some resemblance of order with three girls and a dog for company all day ;)  On top of that, I'm coordinating the Bible Adventure Week (or Vacation Bible School) for our church this year. Need some prayers for that please.

Dad highlights: Doing lots and lots of yard work. Our new house came with a big to-do and Len has taken it by storm! It's just so cool to see him on a project. We've got a garden going with tomatoes and pumpkins. The beans and strawberries didn't make it. We've also got three sunflowers we put in the ground at the front walkway. The best part about our house, I think, is Len's office (man-cave). He's got his space to work from home plus plenty of room for the drums and guitar set up full time.

Well there ya go. I hope you enjoyed the catch up. I'm doing my best, but unfortunately, personal computer time is very very low on my priority list. If possible, I hope we see you or hear about you soon!
