And thus, the holidays begin...holi-chaos, more like.
Once again, in reverse...it's how the pictures come up :)
Thanksgiving!
Nanette, Bill, Caitlin, Fey and Connor, Gran-Gran, Mom, Dad and girls
The Food: Turkey, deviled eggs, creamed corn, potato salad, biscuits, lima beans, ambrosia, dressing and giblet gravy, and cookies for dessert!
The Fun: We split in half where some were downstairs watching the football game, the other half took advantage of the weather and spent some time in the leaf maze, expanding it. climbing the rock pile, and we almost got in a getaway to a movie, but alas, the day had to end... :)
Emma's Classroom reading
Emily and I decided to attend Emma's readers' theater. We knew they'd be moving soon and wanted to get in as much time as possible. It also gave Em and I some time for just us.

Leaf Maze Beginning
One fine Thursday, we invited Bethany L. to join us for an afternoon of playing in the leaves. Elijah H. was also with us. It started as just a big leaf pile then Bethany got creative with a rake. By the end of that day it included a loop plus a spur off to the big pile and a picnic area.
On Thanksgiving, Caity had a go at it and added another loop past the rock pile and a spur somewhere off into no-man's land.

Arts and Crafts
Em and I have a regular fun time with construction paper shapes cut out by yours truly. I love how minimal my effort is to keep her occupied for an hour :)
We've been watching Finding Nemo recently and the other day created an aquarium. So far that's been my favorite project. I will admit that most of the time, she likes to cut her own paper, so naturally it ends up shredded on the table. No worries out there, she has her own miniature safety scissors and I'm always supervising.

Playdates
Random Day with Auntie Fey and Connor. Whenever they get together, Em and Connor seem like a natural pair.

At Hamilton Crossing with Jayden P. I love LizzieB's face in this photo. She's usually moving way too fast to catch.
The Cuteness of our Girls
Oh yeah, she's walking. She's been walking since 7months old...now, she's climbing.
