Here's a few things we've been up to this month.

Here's that smile I was talking about. Lizzie and I usually get some time to play by ourselves during Emily's nap. While I'm thrilled to have this time with her...I really miss my naps. :)
I forgot to mention in the last post that Lizzie likes to watch hockey. She and daddy haven't missed a single game of the playoffs. I'll come downstairs after putting Emily to bed and she'll be sitting up next to Len on the couch. Recently, she's rolling over from tummy to back and reaching out to touch her toys.

See these two little peas? All we need is a pod! Emily took that 2nd photo with my phone. She's becoming quite the techno-head.

Ain't she cute? When I took this photo, we had just gotten the crib reset to the high point, charged the batteries in the mobile and that cute little outfit had just arrived from great uncle Ed and Aunt Carol.

I don't know if you can see her, but Emily is sleeping on my other arm. This was quite an accident. Lizzie and I were having our playtime when Em woke up from nap early. She climbed up on my lap with her and promptly fell asleep again. Lizzie wasn't far behind. And mom? Nope, mom did not nap. one more pillow behind my head and I would've been out like a light.

Emily and Connor were invited to Kylan P's second birthday party. It was a pool party and Em had a blast. On my Facebook are all the pics from that party. Lizzie had a good time too being cradled and loved on by Stacey and Barry.

This is Emily at downtown Cartersville on the Taste of Cartersville event. Later we were joined by friends, Sawyers and Phebus'.

We've had a few blustery days so I bought Emily a mini kite in the shape of a dragonfly. She likes it most when the wind keeps it just at head level cause then she can chase it.

Wonder what's going on here? Emily is pretending to be a little mommy by strapping Giraffe into the bouncy chair the way Lizzie is in the swing. Emily plays many many pretend games. Her latest favorite is "Animal Rescuer". We watch "Dora the Explorer" and "Go, Diego, Go" as part of our nighttime routine. She's gone so far to draw a "Map" that leads past the butterfly garden (livingroom carpet), through the forest (behind the couch) and up a tall mountain (the bathroom door). I love her imagination.
