All About Elizabeth

Elizabeth is two months old now. She can turn on her smile one second and make the most pitiful grimace the next. Her determination to move about on her own is truly a sight to see. She doesn't stop moving except when sleeping. However, she moves her arms about to lull herself into said sleeping state. She holds up her head at a 90 degree angle and can scoot herself about on a blanket when she's wallowing.

I like watching her smile. It's a...I need the perfect word....precious. It's a precious smile. Almost delicate. It elicits an immediate return smile. Suddenly you feel so blessed to have received it, you must give something in return.

She likes to play in the same PlayPlace that Emily had. She makes cute baby noises at the jingling bugs that Emily received. When I hear her little voice, I'm immediately inspired to go to her, to be around her. Strangely enough though, her crying sounds so commanding that it doesn't really sound like she needs help. She sounds more angry that she can't do it herself; only the future will tell if my suppositions are correct.

She's growing like a weed and it has taken Len and I by surprise. She's growing out of her wardrobe so fast that I can't filter out the small clothes fast enough. (Of course this isn't helped by the fact infant clothing sizes are not standardized.)

I look forward to the next time I can tell you new things about our youngest Demain. She has a doctor's appointment on Monday, so standby!

Family news: We've made a final payment to our bankruptcy and look forward to visiting with family next month, especially our week following that with Grandma & Grandpa Demain.
