Emily turned 4months old on Tuesday so we couldn't let the occasion pass without some pictures. She's doing better pushups than either me or her Dad! We get tummytime everyday to work on those arms and legs. Sometimes she sends Len and I into falling over laughter cause she squiggles her body side to side like an inchworm.
I follow the updates sent to me from Babycenter.com. It's full of helpful and easy to find articles about what milestones to expect. This month, they encouraged us to read to our babies. It's great fun. We got several books for Emily for Christmas. She does like to read, but like any 4 month old, her attention span is a little limited. She mostly is watching the pictures but does turn the pages now and then. Here, she's reading Pat-a-Cake with Dad.
On a parent note, I am going to pay another visit to the doctor. Emily brought a bout of acid reflux when she was born and it's playing havoc with my system. At the last visit, I got some medication but the doctor told me to be aware that it could be my gall bladder. Today I had another sudden attack and the medicine didn't do too much for me. So, back I go. Also, I'm waiting on a crown to be returned so I can finish up my root canal procedure. Len also is experiencing some minor health problems and will be visiting for a checkup soon.

Hey lady! Congrats on Emily's 4 month birthday. I love the pic of her through her toy! What a little darling!
ReplyDeleteI hope they resolve your issue with the reflux and it isn't your gall bladder surgery. Believe it or not, the laproscopic gall bladder surgery hurt worse than my C-Section, and I was out of commission for a lot longer...so I really hope it's not that!
Good Luck!

ReplyDeleteI had my gall bladder out about 4 years ago after going to the emergency room with repetitive sharp pains in the middle of the night too. They tried to diagnose it as acid reflux for me too. The worst part for me was waiting for the surgery...for almost a month I lived on percocet and yellow gatorade. I lost over 20 lbs, but that's not the best way to do it.
On the plus side, though, my surgery went really smoothly, I was off the pain killers in 2 days. If you have stones in your gall bladder, make sure to have them check to make sure none have moved on to your pancreas or you'll just get sick again.
At any rate, I hope you're feeling better, I'm enjoying the blog, and keep in touch!
Snowy
